Stripping Aluminum Siding and Cedar Shingles

Oh wow… what a job!  Nothing complicated about this, but its tedious and time consuming.  The siding is easy to get off. Then we separate the fibre backing from the aluminum and pile the aluminum to be taken to the recycling depot!  Lead goes too… we won’t get rich from that, but better to have a few $$ in our pocket and the metals being recycled than not.

30 Aug – after about 5 full days of work (stripping aluminum siding, cedar shingles/shakes, sorting, cleaning up, bundling the aluminum) we have finished this task!  There are pictures of the final section… but that will have to happen later.

This is what our poor house looks like after its stripped of its siding and cedar.
