Framing Walls & Roof

16 Aug – Framing has started.

These little walls complete the vertical part of the basement walls.

Another delivery. It’s amazing that so many truckloads of bits and pieces will be a house!

First floor engineered trusses in place.

An interesting, and kind of attractive view, but one that won’t be seen again.

Aug 18 – The FIRST wall!! (Phil in the opening)

Aug 23 – First floor is framed and sheathed. Second floor trusses are in place.

First wall of the second floor is being built before being tipped up. The gable end of the existing house had to be removed… to make way for progress!

Aug 24 – Second floor is nearly done!

Aug 25 at 5:00 pm!

First interior stairs are done (first to second floor).

This is going to be amazing, Sandy. I’ll be watching with great interest especially anything to do with kitchens. I am always looking for ideas since I might be closer to getting one.

    1. Debby! I thought the kitchen came as part of your retirement package!
